During his 15 months on the road he falls in love with a duplicitous siren in Mexico, hacks through the Peruvian jungle, communes with the blue-footed boobies of the Galápagos, crashes on the Bolivian altiplano and has an out-of-body experience in Patagonia. By journey’s end his trip has taken on a deeper meaning as he reconnects with his father, who died when Jeremy was a teenager.
