From the author: Dans cet article, je trace les paralleles entre la reforme de l'assistance sociale en Ontario, principalement dans l'application de l'employabilite des meres seules via les programmes de transition de l'assistance sociale au marche du travail apres les annees 90, et la transformation des codes moraux predominants de la maternite: de a . De plus, j'utilise ce cas comme porte d'entree afin de considerer l'implication des allegeances public et politique a ces codes moraux pour toutes les meres. Mon argumentation principale est que l'introduction des programmes de transition de l'assistance sociale au marche du travail n'est pas que le resultat de la politique neoliberal de l'etat, mais aussi de la propagation des idees de la maternite morale a l'exterieur des politiques dans les politiques.
