Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.
Audio-Digest Internal Medicine is specifically designed to provide the participant with state-of-the-art information on, including, but not limited to, the diagnosis and management of:

The goals of this program are to improve the diagnosis and management of depression and dementia in older patients, and to improve in-office evaluation and counseling of older drivers. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Differentiate between depression and dementia in older patients.
2: Screen for signs of dementia while evaluating an older patient presenting with depression.
3: Prescribe the recommended medical treatment for an older patient when unsure if he or she he has depression, dementia, or both.
4: Assess the vision, cognition, and motor-sensory skills of older drivers and determine if they represent a risk to self and others.
5: Identify and counsel the older patient who needs to retire from driving.
