The Polyamory Project

Western societies view of the normality of monogamy is one we are all expected to adopt. As a photographer I enthusiastically seek niche minority subjects who choose not to live by normal standards to document. My starting point was alternative families, this then progressed on to polyamory.


My aim with this project was to be unbiased as possible towards my and to educate my audience that there is another choice other than monogamy, and the people who choose to live a poly lifestyle are not ‘strange’ or ‘weird’.

I found the practice of an polyamory family fascinating. Polyamory is the practice of consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy.

I approached the poly lifestyle in different media platforms, to try to educate the public in an unbiased manner.

This book of text interviews meant I could interview people from all over the world, who could both stay anonymous but also get their opinion across, these are unchanged and only edited for spelling and grammar.

This book also includes a glossary and useful links.

The content is only suitable for adults, as it has themes of BDSM featured.
