From Beets To Chocolate

A children’s book for young readers about the compassionate and heroic acts of American pilot Colonel Gail S. Halvorsen during the aftermath of World War II in Germany. Colonel Halvorsen and his crew of two started a candy and cultural revolution when they bombed West Berlin with candy bars and chewing gum, targeting the youngest of the West Berliners.
