Jack and Suzie Holbeck are married and in love, yet living apart. Suzie's confused, and their daughter, Ashley, isn't happy about the situation - nor is Jack.
One August day, Jack and Ashley decide to visit the newly-rebuilt lifesaving station on Race Point, Cape Cod. When alone in the upper chamber, Jack experiences a spiritual manifestation that brings him to the floor in a cold sweat.
In this tale, the present-day and the last part of the 19th Century collide. But to what end?
Present-day love turns out to be no stronger than love that has been patiently waiting for over a hundred years.
Yes, Jack and Suzie need help.
But so do the others.

Author's Note:
Three years ago, while writing my fifth book, I took a short trip to the cape with my son, Peter. While there, we stumbled upon this beautiful building on Race Point that turned out to be the rebuilt Old Harbor Lifesaving Station.
We took the tour, and even (yes, we did) snuck past the rope stanchion keeping people from going into the upper areas. We saw the views - those breathtaking views - but I didn't go all the way up the ladder into the tower for fear of being caught and hauled away in cuffs.
On the way back to the parking lot, on the boardwalk, I mentioned to P that the place had an eerie feel about it, that I felt there were spirits there.
"Well, Daddy, you should write a book about it!"
I said, "You know, Peter, I think I'll write a story about this."
"Hey, I just told you that!"
"Peter, let me tell you something. You were my idea, so any idea you get that's good, is actually my idea. See?"
I don't think he bought it.
Here's the story. It seemed so good I couldn't continue with #5 until this one was written. Took longer than usual, but "life" got in my way from time to time.
I hope you enjoy this ghost/love story, set on my favorite place in the world: Cape Cod.
Literary fiction.
I hope Kindle readers give this story a chance, despite its length. I believe each story has a length - some short and some long - and this one took exactly 131-odd thousand words to tell. But looking back with my editor's eye...couldn't remove a single one.
