A nd, in consequence of the process, it has considerably grown both in bulk and in usefulness. The book has been, for some time, in the press. In fact, it would have long been out, had not a very unfortunate incident prevented its publication earlier. A few months ago, the learned author had a severe attack of paralysis, the effects of which are still upon him.
