Description

I am publishing this book on behalf of my father-in-law Ben T. Calvert, who wrote this book to preserve the history of the legendary bank robbery that occurred in Stamping Ground, Kentucky on November 28, 1932.

Stamping Ground is a small community of less than 600 people and is located about 30 minutes outside of Lexington, Kentucky. The odds of this town falling victim to bank robbers during the early 1930's was not very likely.

The story of the bank robbery was a big part of the Stamping Ground community while Ben was growing up there, and he will share with you his accounts of the story as it has been told in the past, his personal interviews with witnesses, and many hours of research he has conducted.

*Was someone really shot during the robbery?
*Was there one bank robbery or three?
*Who were the robbers and where did they come from?
*Who was the ringleader?
*Did someone receive the death penalty for this crime?
*Why Stamping Ground Kentucky?

If you enjoy blundered criminal stories, bank robbery history or can relate with growing up in a small town, you will enjoy this book.
