When I lived in the Southwest United States, Arizona and New Mexico, I made numerous rides throughout the area. I chronicled these tours by word and photo in a variety of motorcycle, travel, and regional magazines during the 90s. What I discovered is some of the most beautiful and thought-provoking sites you can imagine, from the natural beauty of the great forests in Northern Arizona, to the ruins of ancient cultures in both Arizona and New Mexico.
In this volume I've assembled most of these articles, along with maps and photos in hopes of sharing these amazing off-the-beaten-path trips I took on my motorcycle. I hope that they spur some readers to take these weekend tours themselves, and if not, I think they can be enjoyed by the armchair traveler as well.
