Photoshop CS 6 Compositing Basics

This is a new type of book. It’s a visual book with over 2 hours of video. I have learned photography and retouching with the use of tutorials and find that this a very powerful method of teaching.

Compositing in Photoshop is everywhere today, magazine, movie posters, ads. It’s “the technique” that’s hot.

This is a very simple introduction that will take through all the steps to make a believable composite in three steps:

– Creating an appealing background.
– Extracting our subject using the new tools available. Since Photoshop CS 4, it has become very easy, including wispy hairs.
– Blending both photos and making the color and luminosity to match.

Only basic Photoshop knowledge is needed. While teaching I try to follow two rules:

1. No technical terms explained with technical words, but with simple English.
2. No theory, practical and visual examples only.

Many photographers around the world have expanded their customer base and fees because they have mastered compositing. It’s going to be more and more requested and this book will give the tools you need to get started.
