The Journey of Alvar Nunez Cabeza De Vaca

Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca was an explorer sent by Spain to occupy North America. His journey went awry, and he was one of the few who remained alive. He traveled throughout the Caribbean, Gulf Coast, the modern day Southwestern United States and Mexico, finally reaching Spain again 10 years later. He wrote this narrative of his journey.
