The room had no artwork, but when Tracey looked closer at what she’d initially thought were leather decorations, she realized that hanging from the walls were leather straps, padded boards, several different sets of handcuffs and more than a dozen different styles of whips.

Tracey lowered her camera and turned slowly to look at Mr. Wahlstrom.

He was leaning casually in the doorway, one leg hooked behind the other and his elbow raised to rest in the frame. “See why I’m not interested in showing this room?”

“Whose room is it?” She was half-expecting to hear yet another tale of an interesting but distant relative.

The smile that he gave her in answer lit his eyes up. “Mine. Of course.”

He walked from the doorway to stand directly in front of her. He cupped her cheek with one hand and with his other hand, pulled her close to him by the waist. “I’d really like to show you what this room is for.”

Derek’s eyes were intense and dark with lust, and suddenly the room seemed very small.
