March Saints From the Roman Breviary

March finds Saint Thomas Aquinas followed by Saint John of God. Forty Martyrs gave their lives for the faith on the 10th. This month we celebrate the feast of Saint Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Patron of the Universal Church. Saint Patrick soon follows, driving the snakes out of Ireland. Saint Benedict founded monasticism. Saint Gabriel came to the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Annunciation to announce our redemption was at hand. The Feast of the Seven Sorrows in Lent is included at the end of this volume.
