The Universe: past and future

The history of the Universe, from the Big Bang to the present day, spans about 14 billion years. Attempts to understand and explain that history rely as much on the insights of particle physics as they do on cosmology. This book explores the physics of the very small – the fundamental building blocks of the Universe (atoms, nuclei, protons, neutrons and quarks) – to help explain the history of the very large – the Universe – and how it changes over time. A student at A-level, International Baccalaureate, or K-12 level will be stretched by this content and teaching.
