Description

The people of Madrid believe they have done away with the local witch family, but they have not taken into account a witch's spirit. Strange things are going on in Madrid—a ghost is haunting the opera house theater. Then there is the mysterious stranger, U. S. Marshal Quill, asking questions about what happened to Samuel Stuwart. His obsession with Samuel's widow, the witch Salia, is unhealthy.

Marcelina misses her friend, Salia, and wonders if there is magic to "bring her back". Marcelina fears what the local, fanatical religious group will do to her, if they find out about her budding witchcraft. She is simply trying to survive the Great Depression in Santa Fe, by practicing white magic.

The Native American shaman, Storm-Chaser, faces a new threat at the pueblo--Salia's half-brother, Jefe, and his band of Native American witches.

Ghosts of the Black Rose is a novel about love, redemption, and second chances.
The Land of Enchantment Trilogy is truly unique, glowing with rich Native American and Hispanic magic. Did you know that witches in the Southwest flash into fireballs and soar across the sky, as recorded in Santa Fe by witnesses at witch trials?

Ghosts of the Black Rose is a winner of an International Latino Book Award for 2014 BEST FANTASY. The book, also, won a BEST FANTASY New Mexico - Arizona Book Award.
