As Queen Mary 2 sails from New York bound for Europe, a terrorist highjacked cargo ship carrying a nuclear device sails from a North African port. They are destined to meet at predetermined coordinates on the high seas. Aboard QM2, en route to finalizing a historic and far-reaching Middle East peace accord in Geneva, is the United Nations Secretary General. On the fifth day, just south of Ireland, the dormant monsters take over the fabulous liner, rendezvous with the deadly freighter, and transfer the one-kiloton device into Queen Mary’s hold. By destroying and sinking the QM2, loss of life greater than the 9/11 destruction of the Twin Towers will have been effected, and any hopes for Middle East peace will again be thrown back into chaos.

Traveling on the fateful voyage—hoping to enjoy his first real vacation in many years—is NYPD Detective Sergeant Thornton Savage.
