As Mary finally tells her version of the cave story, Daniel, Isaac and Chrystal notice an unusual change in her. She seemed to be talking as if she was an older woman. However, the story she told was really not that much different than Isaac’s. Chrystal just couldn’t get over the frightening evil glare Mary was giving her. The group finally decides to head to the cave. It was just like Isaac described it. Mary decides to on ahead and before you know it they are all in the cave. Chrystal cannot believe her eyes. What happens next leaves everyone screaming for their lives. Was it a monster like Isaac described or did they come face to face with a demon, like Mary said they would.

He learned that kids liked shiny things and had the power to make the cave change. So when the first group of kids came, he changed it to all the gems and made the rocks fall to keep them in. Then one by one he took their souls so he could stay alive on earth. This was the way things went for hundreds and hundreds of years, but the more souls he ate, the more he needed to stay alive. Finally the people in the village started to freak out and they made sure that all the kids knew to stay away from the cave. The demon was getting weaker and weaker every day and he used his powers to call out to the kids who didn’t listen to their parents. What he would do is eat the soul of one, and freeze the bodies of the other ones, that way if he couldn’t get new kids, he had leftovers! This happened for a long time, and his tummy would still growl. He was getting sick and he knew that he had to figure out something new. He wanted to stay on earth, but he was getting very sleepy and sick.”
“Wait a second, it’s a cave, and how can he freeze them?”
“Isaac, he is a demon, DUH!”
