This classic book by Percy Brown contains a wealth of information on Indian architecture during the Islamic period, and will make an excellent addition to the bookshelf of anyone with an interest in the subject.
This volume deals with the development of Moslem architecture in India up to modern times and is concerned with the building art of India as visualized and put into effect by a forceful people who, beginning towards the twelfth century brought with them conceptions and beliefs from an exterior source and in marked contrast with those that had hitherto prevailed.
