After un-expectantly being dumped by her childhood Best Friend, sixteen year old Christina is faced with surviving High School alone while being surrounded by strange occurrences, murder, mystery, and Magic. And if that weren't enough, someone already has plans for her future.

My whole life, as far back as I can remember, it has always been the two of us. And just the two of us: ball games and scraped knees, scented markers and miserably failed attempts at the guitar, shared lunches and shared shoulders. We were inseparable.
And now? Separate.
I can still practically hear the invisible blade slash through the air, ringing into an ever final thud of disconnect.
Did you know you could break up with your Best Friend? Did you know that it could leave your heart shattered and ground up like tiny shards of painful, cutting, glittering glass?
I hadn’t. I thought that feeling was reserved for failed epic teenage romances, not childhood friendships.
I was wrong.
And now? Now, what? Survive High School alone?
I snorted at myself, Not likely.
Oh, and why Bobby left? No clue. Not even a hint of a reason, not a sign, not a shadow.

But the children of the Night were ill content with their lot, and through an act of abomination and sacrilege they became Other. Superior to the Great Mother’s children. True immortal creatures of Night, Magic, and Hunger .
Vampires.
But the Great Mother, in her infinite knowledge had prepared for such an atrocity. She had hidden a fourth blood like. One to balance all three Aspects she had gifted her children; one who could balance vampire, witch and human.
