To take a break from investigating a vampirish blood drive at Rocky Cape College, feisty and valiant police inspector Kay Xiarras accepts her old flame Gabbo’s invitation to magic trio Nepenthes’s bash in Bahía Sonrisa.

What started as an access-all-areas Goth night out in the company of her trusted agents Zac, Padma, Brian and Laura, turns to crime scene when thirteen women are found dead in the restrooms, their life literally sucked out of them.

Kay is thrown at the deep end when Rocky Cape passports are retrieved on two victims, and Laura is kidnapped in the middle of the night - and in the middle of nowhere.

In cooperation with her streetwise counterparts Nacho and Macarena, the inquiry takes Kay and her Homicides’ squad across the mountains to Vega d’Entrepinares, and back to Rocky Cape on time for a Little Shop of Horrors themed Halloween party – with a fairytale ending!

This action-packed dark thriller will transport you beyond borders, to an imaginary realm of picturesque cityscapes under grey skies laden with autumnal downpours, populated by a cast of original and congenial characters, as deadly as a new breed of biological weaponry, and as assorted as the exotic plants in a glasshouse.
