Gladys, a young farm girl, lived at home with her parents.

She very successfully completed her Grade 8 government departmental examinations, and received her certificate. She was very excited, as were her parents, all looking forward to completing her education.

As there was no high school close to the farm, her parents decided to have her live with her older sister in Alberta. Never knowing the huge mountains Gladys would have to climb, or the valleys to pass through, she always met the challenges cheerfully.

Gladys has travelled many bumpy roads in her lifetime and this book takes us along for the ride. And through it all, her gratitude for the good things in life shines through. A riveting read.
