This short story about a USMC hero who receives the Medal of Honor nearly sixty years after his service at Guadalcanal mocks politics, politicians and political correctness.

For reasons of political expediency during a presidential election campaign, the President decides to award the Medal of Honor to a heroic Native American. Because records from World War II weren't computerized, they had to rely on archived news stories, and based on that, they selected "Injun Joe" Little Feathers ... but as a young and ambitious political reporter discovers, "Injun Joe" wasn't exactly what he seemed ...
