" This book is an eye- witness testimony to a tragic incident in the Vietnam War. Assigned to Swift Boats in Danang, RVN, I arrived in June 1968. PCF-12, the boat to which I was assigned was involved in an incident involving North Vietnamese Helicopters, U.S. Air Force Jets, and U.S. Marines ashore. PCF-19 was sunk with the loss of five crewmen. It was blamed on “friendly fire”. I was there and believe it was “hostile fire”. This book is the real story told by witnesses who were there. James W.
