Description

So you’re a hormonally challenged woman of "a certain age", probably a woman over 50... Hot Stuff will teach you the subtle art of camouflage in dressing your shape, has definitely shifted – learn how to look chic, stylish and sexy.

Everything you need to know about surviving hot flushes and all things menopause while continuing to look good & feel good - at what is arguably the most challenging time of your life.

This book is the culmination of many years of research and speaking with women about menopause, to discover some home truths about what does and doesn't work when it comes to make-up, clothing and hair styles when you're in the middle of a firestorm we kindly call a "Hot Flash".

It was inspired by my profound lack of knowledge other than kindly anecdotes from aunties who (I remember thinking during one particular wet melt down must have been absolutely mad when they described a hot flush as feeling a bit warm) didn't quite describe my experience of menopause. Rather than continue in ignorance I began asking whoever I could - doctors, nurses, girlfriends and eventually women I would meet, about what they knew. The research and information grew into a massive pile that begged me to do something meaningful and helpful to other women.

Hot Stuff the book blossomed from there and gained real momentum once I was fortunate enough to meet three very talented people Michelle Ker the illustrator, Tony Kentuck the cartoonist, and Rodney Powell the designer; their artwork has added a great sense of fun to an otherwise painful topic.

My hope is that this book finds it's way into your hands before you need it and becomes an invaluable aid that gets you through your experience of menopause.
