Vaporize the Fading

Charlie, whose real name is Charlene and Chaz had met while still in high school. Chaz wasn t the dashing superstar that every high school seemed to have, but he had that certain something that always drew people to him, male and female alike. Charlie was more subdue and sometimes too quiet, lost in her thoughts and dreams. She was a dreamer most times instead of a doer. No one held it against her because she was there if anyone needed help with a smile and a helping hand. They had started dating and life took off from there. Seen everywhere and always together, complimenting each other s downfalls.

After several years of marriage Charlie became more and more depressed and Chaz was staying away from home longer and longer. Her evenings had been unbearable waiting for him to come home when their life was good and she couldn t wait for him to arrive home. Those evenings seemed a hundred years ago and now her evenings bordered on suicidal. Yet she continued on in the same old manner, trudging through the days and sleepless nights.

Finally one day she sees herself as she looks to others while being a witness to one of her husband s reasons for not being at home. It s a wakeup call for Charlie and she snaps into action.
