Thorsten Topelius is visiting New York on his way to deliver a lecture series at Lakehurst, the New Jersey site of the crash of the airship Hindenburg in 1937. His day deteriorate fast, following the murder of an old friend.

Somehow, the 1937 crash starts to figure in these current events, and Topelius takes a re-look at the conspiracy theories, and at the known evidence.
