He could be a wealthy mogul, or a high-level Communist Party cadre, or maybe a syndicate of spymasters. But he’s not. The most feared man in China’s breakneck economy is actually 28-year-old New Jersey native Jack Moore.

Armed with basic CIA training, a couple of years experience as an investigative journalist, and a tireless drive to avenge his parents’ death at the hands of poisonous corporate greed, Jack publishes The China Hand, an exclusive and anonymous newsletter that targets corrupt businessmen. With only a few sentences he tears down fortunes.

Backed by the resources of Shanghai’s most feared mob boss and the skills of a former NSA code breaker, Jack is able to bribe, blackmail, and threaten his way into the darkest secrets of China’s corrupt business world. Masked by the China Hand moniker, Jack is invincible… or so he thinks.

A shadowy figure finds out the China Hand’s true identity and Jack is given an ultimatum. He has one week to uncover the plans of CNE Inc, a secretive company on the North Korean border. If he is successful, Jack might be able to discover his adversary’s identity and save his newsletter. If not, he’s dead.

Following only his instincts, Jack embarks on a desperate investigation that leads him from China’s metropolises to its rural villages. He confronts dangerous figures, from a Chinese super soldier to the ruthless head of the People’s Armed Police. As he hones in on the truth, Jack discovers far worse than simple business corruption.
