Progeny of the Light

A shadowy collective loosely known as the Order has always been aware of the gifts hidden in the genetics of special bloodlines. The Order has existed since the dawn of time. They know who really built the pyramids and how. Is this the Illuminati? They know of Michael and his latent abilities. Once a drug addict and struggling musician, Michael has begun to discover his abilities in startling ways. He has begun to train his followers living in the old part of the French Quarter in New Orleans –training them for his real mission as it is revealed to him. Though he doesn’t know who he has descended from, the Order does. Whether he’s the second coming, or the antichrist, or something altogether alien only the Order knows. They've had a breeding program for millennia,
The NSA is also observing Michael covertly using an elite unit of specialist with all the talents of the CIA’s old Para-psychology teams created in their Stargate program which dealt with remote viewing, and MK-Ultra Programs which dealt with mind control, sometimes through the psychic phenomena discovered in certain drugs, hallucinogenic derivatives that affect psychic ability. The NSA has taken over these programs and they have gone totally black. Jen is their operative. She discovers that Michael holds the keys, to among other things, trans-dimensional travel, something like, time travel, only recently described by the great masters of quantum physics, with frightening implications. He intends to use this ability to change things. He has managed to move a huge block of stone forward in time, and placed it in the most controversial of locations– near the dome of the rock–on the Temple Mount. He’s not sure what effect his meddling is having on the universe itself. The NSA and the Order is close to being able to do the same thing through technical means using Quantum physics.
Michael has an advanced technical team, too, that coordinates the destruction of all evidence . He has frustrated the NSA’s efforts to spy on him as his collective of followers based in New Orleans can meet anywhere in time places–places where they’ve shared ‘time’ before to plan their ventures without detection. But are they really places of this universe?
Not only does Jen have to face how terribly dangerous this fantastically charismatic man has become; but she also imagines she has mated him, over and over again, through many lifetimes, and she wants him again, yet she cannot have him now! She has dreamed that the human race did not officially exist until there was ‘first love.'. What’s more is that she may have to turn him over to her superiors. But before she does that she hacks the NSA computers only to discover that the Order and the NSA have been working together at the highest levels, where she finds proof of the their genetic engineering in Dulce, New Mexico, in their files titled ARCHANGEL, a term loosely used to describe one of four test subjects.
Michael’s meddling has attracted the attention of two other beings as well. One of these hates mankind.
The NSA have managed to send their ‘black boxes’ back in time, but they are horrified when these boxes come back to them subtly altered!
There is no anticipating the places PROGENY will lead the reader, and the mind bending conclusion resolves in unpredictable elegance. The story is set in the city of New Orleans, which in itself, like a character in the book.
