An Earthman Born: Conquering the Universe with a Nine Iron and a Raygun (Space Opera)

Sublieutenant Rollo Molhollo adventures across the Universe in pursuit of fame, glory and just a little bit of fortune by conquering new worlds with a nine iron and raygun, or at least conquering a vast and violent planet where golf is a bitter religion and far too many of its creatures have a taste for human flesh. Arrogant, ambitious, callow and too heavily armed, Rollo with his native sidekick, Honda the urnboy who may be too smart for his master, must fight his way through vast hordes of worm cavalries, leather-winged beasts and golfing cults to cross the huge tranOng Rampart of the Checkered Planet and join The Second Incredible Lancers in their eternal war against an unnameable enemy, and incidentally to achieve galactic glory and Rollo's rightful place as a hero in the cosmos.
