Traveling Forward Surviving with a traumatic brain injury

Michael Francis Ciafone was born in Mount Vernon, New York. His family moved to Yorktown Heights, New York. He is and will always be the third of five children, the middle child. When he was nine years old, his family moved to a fifty acre horse farm in Sugar Loaf, New York. This is where his life changed forever.

His family moved to Bronxville, New York for a short time, then back to Yorktown Heights. He graduated high school in three years, left for college that summer Northwood University, Midland, Michigan. He completed his bachelor's degree later in life at Mercy College, Dobb's Ferry, New York. Note taking and writing has been his passion and a survival tool living with Traumatic Brain Injury.
