Honor Killing

This suspenseful and heartwarming true story describes how a bunch of American military personnel rally to help a 15-year-old runaway Iraqi girl. They learn that if she goes home, the male members of her traditional Shiite family are bound to kill her for dishonoring them. She finds safety in the base hospital, but it is only a temporary stopgap solution. The goal of the desperate Arabic interpreter who befriended her is to find a solution that will save her. He enlists the base hospital staff and the brass to arrange to spirit her to safe harbor. Until they find a solution, however, they find themselves stuck with a demanding and temperamental teenager who periodically makes them so mad that they want to kill her themselves.
