The Whacker Man

When Detective Jane Buckman heads to isolated Shadow Island to investigate the anonymously reported disappearance of a young girl, she knows right away that something is very, very wrong.

The island seems idyllic. The residents are proud of their agrarian culture and self-sufficiency. But their old-fashioned practices extend beyond farming. The island's culture is not only pagan, but nearly everywhere Jane looks, she sees men spanking their women.
