Description

By the bestselling writer of "The McCabes." A supernatural story for those who don't like supernatural stories. Franken is a patchwork man, and Stoker is a vampire, and they have been best buddies for the past 130 years. They have worked as bounty hunters and ranchers, and have fought just about every kind of creature of the night there. is. Now they work as private eyes in a small New England city. They are at their office after a night of trying to pick up women and being shot at—a typical night for them—when a woman walks in. All leg and curves and with a killer smile, and with a killer of a problem. It seems her husband is a werewolf. And he wants her dead. To make matters worse, Franken finds himself falling in love with her. But is everything with her as it seems?

EARLY REVIEWS:

As a writer, I'm pretty (VERY) picky about what I read. I've been an avid Stephen King (constant) reader most of my life and rarely read anything by other authors. I recently purchased King's "Doctor Sleep" and was about 60 pages into it when I came upon "Patchwork Man".

This work pulled me in from the very first page, and kept me hopelessly entranced until the end. I was actually sad that it was "done" when I read the final page. I can't, and don't, say that about many books I read. This story has all the elements that one would hope for in a novel: well developed characters, a well-woven plot, humor, love, action -- you name it, it's all there.

I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in this genre. – Steven K. White, author of KNIGHTMARE

Not particularly a reader of this type of book, I found it to be a good read and could not put it down until I had finished reading the story – Loretta K. Yike

I dig supernatural stories and this one did not disapoint. The writing was fun, the pace swift and the jokes plentiful. My only complaint is that I read it too damn fast. – John West
