It is easy to forget the service and sacrifice of our servicemen and women on days other than Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. This book is intended to memorialize one soldier and his death in action in the final days of World War I and the sacrifice he made for his wife and daughter. His last letter to his wife is a poignant reminder of what so many have felt while in the service of their country and goes beyond just one man's final letter to his family. Hopefully it will be a reminder to all of us of what service and sacrifice truly mean.
