Sonogram of the Heart

Contemporary poetry dealing with family and place, human predicaments and personal challenges. (Pittsburgh) Much of this book was first written when the author lived and worked near the University of Pittsburgh and taught poetry at the Mercyhurst College Summer Writer's Institute.
In these poems, the persona uses his understanding of place and history to attempt to decifer the logic of his family while the family spins out of control, blown in the winds of personal tragedy and mass societal changes.
