The Chess Club

The Third Grade is hard no matter who you are, but when you add in the fact that you are being forced to learn to play chess with a bunch of kids you don't know, or even like, it's harder.

Then you add the typical third grade drama brought on by bullies, teachers pets and one seriously hateful teacher, Tyler Abbott and his three unlikely friends, Jeffery Kettle, Caroline Williams, and Hannah Scott, learn more than fractions and how to play a board game.

The four friends face adult problems and discover that only a real friend will tell you the truth when you need to hear it, let you cry when you need to cry and support you no matter what happens. Individually they are all normal third graders, but together they are The Chess Club, and they are awesome.
