Description ▲
Spirulina is a blue green algae which is so popular because of its valuable unmatched chemical composition specially highest protein content and antioxident. In today’s life, Spirulina is used as a good source of protein. So in the present study the attempt was made to evaluate the growth performance and biochemical assay of different Spirulina species, which are isolated from different water bodies of Agra, India. Algal samples from different regions of Agra were collected and observed microscopically to know the presence of desired algae (S. platensis & S. subsalsa and S. maxima) from these sample. These algal species are cultivated under semi arid climatic conditions of Agra, India, to find out the best speciec of Spirulina among three. After 30 days of inoculation all the species were harvested and the algal slury was sundried and biochemically anlysed to know the best species biochemically.
