This First Volume of this pioneer monograph Man, Mountain and Medicine was first published during 1986, and reprinted several times. It is the First Digital Edition. It contains Chapters on Human Geography and Anthropology, Cardiovascular Aspects and Respiratory-Renal-Blood Aspects. It has 137 pages, 43 color photographs, 5 illustrations and 77 tables.

This book has served as a benchmark for researchers on human habitat, social and physical anthropology, highland's health hazards, longevity, heart disease, and preventive lessons from the highlands of the Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindukush.
