Description

A memoir of growing up in a small Irish town in

the 1930s and progressing down a less travelled

road in the Garda Síochána.

Eamonn (P.E.) Gunn was a former member of the Garda Síochána. Born in Pomeroy, County Tyrone, he grew up in Manorhamilton, County Leitrim. Educated at St. Mary’s College, Dundalk, he served in the army during the war before joining the Garda Síochána in 1943. He was deeply involved in the quest for a reform of the Garda Representative Bodies and was a former chairman of that organisation.
