In modern Bali, fulfilment isn't guaranteed, whether you are Balinese or Buleh. But there is a woman, an apotek in Seminyak, whose name is whispered around the island, in Java and in Sumatra too. She has the power to ensure that those who come to her don't remain unfulfilled, that the one they want cleaves to them, at least for a night or more. She has not felt that surge of passion herself in many years. But then a stranger comes, one whose arts are the equal of hers, if differently expressed.
