Billionaire businessman and philanthropist Carl Flint is Chairman & CEO of Flint Corp., a multinational conglomerate and the founder of a secretive university in the Rocky Mountains that is identifying and training young seers for a new purpose only he knows.

Glen Quinn is one of these students, and during his first year he goes on an extraordinary journey that takes him to Australia and back in pursuit of an ancient Aboriginal seer artifact purported to extend life. At the same time, he is just trying to navigate living in a world new to him that is simultaneously fascinating and frightening. To do so, he must find out whom he can trust and what it means to be a seer. In the end, he will have to choose between loyalty to the man who is offering him a tremendous opportunity, and his doubts as to whether it is ever acceptable to sacrifice morality in the pursuit of financial and technological gain.
