An Old Bottle of Pills

An Old Bottle of Pills is a collection of twenty short stories of a somewhat eccentric nature Most of the tales are told in the first person and, often the story-teller wanders into a surreal world outside the human experience. The stories, some of which are bizarre, carry with them a kind of subversity regarding the way we live, and may be funny, ridiculous but then suddenly full of pathos. Some are grotesque, others amusing and some are sad, but beneath the words lurks an underlying humanity which is undefended against the perils of modern day living.
This is the third published work of the author, Barry Harden, written with his trademark curious slant on the world in which we live.
