The book series is a compilation of short stories and posts beginning in April 2011 capturing the breathtaking reality of growing up with a father who spent all of WWII in combat and additional deployment in the Korean War. The content served as the foundation for my non-fiction book, Reconciliation: A Son's Story, published in November 2011 by Signalman Publishing LLC. Keeping a journal while writing my story released many decades of denial and pain connected with emotional neglect and child abuse. It also serves as a critical part of my journey of healing and in making a difference for others through my blog www.survivethriveptsd.com.
