During the dark days of the Middle Ages, the world became a magical place of witches, sorcerers and books of mystery. The old order was seen as restrictive, and the conjuring of imps and devils a sense of liberation of not only the mind, but the soul as well. Dark woods and ruined castles were valued as places to hold sabots (a gathering of witches), and the golden age of Magic was born.
There are two worlds: the Physical World of Man, and the Netherworld of Spirits. When one world draws close to the other, communion with the Spirits is possible. It is for this reason that Magic is possessed by the Spirit of the Night, for it is then that the two worlds draw near to one another.
This document, a collection of magical formulae from ancient textbooks of magic in all their essential detail, is a reflection of those long ago times, when both Jesuit and non-believer sought to summon devils.
