This is short tutorial that introduces springs. It covers:
The Spring Constant
The Force Equation
Potential Energy in Springs
This is a very basic introduction. It is meant for students taking AP physics or something similar, and it would be useful to read before studying oscillatory motion. It does go briefly into a little bit of calculus to show how the energy equation is derived, but other than that the math is basic algebra.
This tutorial focuses on problem solving. Every problem is solved step-by-step.
If you're already comfortable with springs, or if you're looking for something new and advanced then this is not the book for you. But, if you're prepping for a test and want to try some practice problems and see exactly how they were solved, or if you're taking a physics class and either totally or somewhat confused, but you're comfortable with algebra, then this book might help.
