In the 17th century B.C. the Egyptian magician Meru (Zi Shenmi) and the Canaanite linguistic savant Shoshana (Lianhua) have travelled to the far east in search of the secret of immortality. The rebellion against the corrupt Xia Emperor needs something to lend it weight. So Meru hatches a plan to steal the Nine Tripod Cauldrons, the symbols of heaven's favour. But when you steal heaven's favour, heaven notices. The four companions are summoned to appear at the trial of Pandi the river dragon, a trial that Meru fears will reveal his darkest secret - that he is responsible for killing everyone that Shoshana ever loved and destroying the thing she holds most dear in all the world.

Immortia is a novella appropriate for middle readers, young adults and adults. It is set in a magical version of ancient Bronze Age China at the start of the Shang dynasty.
