Soil Mechanics

Soil Mechanics investigates the behaviour of soil under mechanic stress and deformation interacting with flow of water. Primarily intended for the undergraduate students of civil engineering, this book introduces the amazing world of soils. The text deals with the basic principles of engineering behaviour of soils. The text is designed in such a manner that the syllabus of the core course “Soil Mechanics” or “Geotechnical Engineering I” prescribed in the curriculum of most of the Indian Universities is covered. While reading the text, student experiences classroom teaching – learning process.
