The Flatlands-Part One

The first in a ten part series:
In the new America Citizens, Flatlanders, and Raiders all try to survive in the brutal and uncertain life they now face. With 90% of the population dead the weak are either killed or controlled by their sadistic leaders and the new law of the land excludes no one in its unforgiving grasp.
Sable O' Connor never had anything to lose growing up and had always survived by his street sense and being able to fight. Now even with the extensive skills he's acquired as an officer in the elite Army Rangers the new world is filled with peril and uncertainty, making his M-16 is the only thing he truly trusts.
Trace Dietrich lived a life of privilege and power, but now he's just like everyone else as he flees the madness of the city with his two brothers. One only a child, the other mentally impaired from a horrible accident in the past. His west Texas upbringing made him tough but only time will tell if he is tough enough and smart enough to keep what family he has left alive.
