GOD'S NEW HOME

God didn't put His treasure
in a bank or savings & loan;
Nor did He choose to reside
in a cathedral or beautiful home.

God has given all He has
to change men from within.
He has gladly chosen
to live in the hearts of men!



JESUS, A TRUE CHAMPION

Jesus prayed in Gethsemane,
all things are possible unto Thee.
If it be possible, Father,
take away this cup from Me.

But Jesus was a true champion,
He refused to turn and run.
Nevertheless, He said boldly,
let Thy will be done.

Like Jesus we must be strong in God,
no matter what we face.
Remember, we can do all things,
we have God's sufficient grace!



PLEASING CHRIST

I used to think
that to know God's Will
was the greatest thing in life;

Then I learned
that to do God's Will
was the key to pleasing Christ!



WORDS

The foolish get angry
and blurt out harsh words.
Lovers of themselves,
they speak out of turn.

They believe by much talking
they can change their fate.
Their words are not few,
nor seasoned with grace.

Words without love,
used for selfish ends.
First they flatter,
then they offend.

Oh that the foolish
would come to understand,
Words can make,
or destroy a man!



BUT GOD

I was sinking deep in sin
BUT GOD
saved my soul.

My life was drifting out of control
BUT GOD
gave me a goal.

My heart was burning up with pain
BUT GOD
brought me relief.

Satan was stealing my joy again
BUT GOD
exposed that thief.

Sometimes I get worried
when things go wrong in life;
Then I think of two words:
"BUT GOD"
and I know it will be all right!



REDEMPTION

Justice stood up and demanded
the lives of disobedient men;
Quickly he reminded God
about the wages of sin.

God looked down on His creation
with tears in His eyes;
Though man had rebelled against Him,
He could not let him die.

Justice roared loudly,
and Heaven shook far and near.
God, if You don't repay me,
how can You reign up here?

Justice, you will be paid, God said,
how much do you demand?
Justice replied smugly,
the life of every man!

Wait, I will give you something
more precious in return.
Spare the lives of My creation.
I will not let them burn!

I will give you everything
that I love and adore.
The life of My only begotten Son.
I cannot give you more!

All of Heaven gasped in amazement,
and Justice was satisfied.
God must really love man so
to give His Son to be crucified!
