Description

This book was created during 1914 and 1930, recording the author¡¯s personal dreams, genies and spiritual quest. During his lifetime, Jung Carl Gustav refused to publish it, and until almost fifty years after his death, the book finally got to see the light of day. In 1913, Jung parted ways with Sigmund Freud and began to develop its own theoretical system. Tormented by hallucinations, Jung was at one time on the brink of collapse. Stuck in midlife crisis, Jung re-examined his life and explored his innermost self. He recorded some of his dreams and illusions, and compiled them into The Black Book and meanwhile set about writing about illusions, which formed his private work The Red Book (Liber Novus). The Red Book was the main inspiration for Jung¡¯s future writing, whereby generating a whole set of theories of analytical psychology. This book opens the door for us to understand Jung¡¯s works.
